We left our life in the US with our four kids - 9, 7, 5 and 2 - to exchange houses, cars, schools, friends, and languages with a French family in the Cote d'Azur. Who knows what will happen in this life?

The Lavoir in Mougins, where the town ladies used to come and do their washing. Today they use it for rotating art exhibits, like the one we saw, specializing in a type of Japanese pottery technique.

After a home exchange in the south of France in 2007-8, our family of six decided to stick around a little longer. We live in an old French farmhouse that was built sometime in the mid-late 1800's.
