We left our life in the US with our four kids - 9, 7, 5 and 2 - to exchange houses, cars, schools, friends, and languages with a French family in the Cote d'Azur. Who knows what will happen in this life?

Hooray!
Abby came home from Auron yesterday and we were all so excited!! The parents were all standing on the sidewalk, waiting for the big bus to come down the road. When we saw it turn the bend, all the parents started to wave. When the bus drove by to turn around, all the kids had their faces glued to the windows and were waving excitedly! I'm not sure who was more happy, the parents or the kids!
After a home exchange in the south of France in 2007-8, our family of six decided to stick around a little longer. We live in an old French farmhouse that was built sometime in the mid-late 1800's.
