We left our life in the US with our four kids - 9, 7, 5 and 2 - to exchange houses, cars, schools, friends, and languages with a French family in the Cote d'Azur. Who knows what will happen in this life?
We're getting our family pictures taken sometime in the next week . . . so of course it was no surprise when Sam came home from school yesterday with a big scrape on it. I guess "Brian" was getting a little rough during a game of cops and robbers. Happens here, too.

After a home exchange in the south of France in 2007-8, our family of six decided to stick around a little longer. We live in an old French farmhouse that was built sometime in the mid-late 1800's.
